Key Roles and Responsibilities
People manager ensuring continuity and improvement of operation. Furthermore, the Maintenance & Engineering Site Services manager ensures the safe and efficient operation of site utilities and associated infrastructure, whilst contributing to the work with LEAN principles, food safety and quality at the site.
* Manages the delivery of targets to ensure the department achieves its goals
* Leads second line fault finding and coordinates effective resource prioritisation in consultation with other functional leads
* Plans, improves and executes maintenance of site equipment in line with departmental strategy
* Ensures a healthy, inclusive and safe working environment and a safety mindset
* Responsible for compliance within associated areas of responsibility, in line with Arla Foods’ standards and policies as well as the applicable law
* Ensure quality and food safety within own area of responsibility
* Financial understanding and work within the framework set by corporate finance within own area of responsibility
* Provides input concerning relevant spare parts stock and materials required
* Communicates effectively to report on status of systems and equipment based on OEE
* Completes and updates plant maintenance records complying with all departmental procedures
* Performs all activities in accordance with company and statutory requirements in order to provide a safe and compliant workplace
* Defines resources required, work planning and employee scheduling
* Applies LEAN to continually improve operational performance to ensure the department adopts a genuine continuous improvement mindset
* Embraces and ensures that Arla Digital way of working is communicated and embedded within the department.
What you will need to succeed
* Ambition and drive
* Good level of structure and planning, able to manage complexity and delivery timely strategies in a fast paced environment
* Strong technical understanding of site services and utility equipment maintenance & engineering and servicing.
* Commercially astute to effectively manage site budgets and third party contract negotiations.
* People leadership experience, leading, coaching and developing engineering teams to deliver best in class support
* Knowledge, experience and able to demonstrate LEAN ways of working/practice
