Are you a Teaching Assistant who is looking for a new challenge? Do you have experience working with secondary school children who have struggled in mainstream schools?
We have an opportunity for you to work in a facility that provides alternative education, helping students achieve their goals. Students who attend the PRU schools have previously faced challenges in mainstream schools resulting in exclusion. The staff at the school believe it is extremely important to create strong and trustworthy bonds with pupils to ensure they feel comfortable while under their care. They aim to break down barriers that students have had towards education and learning in the past. They work in small classes and have access to great facilities including a state-of-the-art sports hall, fitness suites, and 3D outdoor pitches.
Job Details:
* The working hours are 8.30am–3.30pm (full-time)
* Specialist provision - Wirral
* Pay - £85-£100 daily
Parents have a great relationship with staff at the school and report that they are very approachable, supporting their children to the best of their ability. Many pupils have experienced periods of absence in mainstream education, but attendance has improved due to the effective strategies implemented by the leadership.
The ideal candidate will be someone who isn’t afraid to get involved and use their initiative to help guide children who have built barriers against education. The ideal Teaching Assistant needs to be committed and dedicated to making strong connections with students and staff to deliver the best possible care, ensuring that students are safe and comfortable in their environment.
