Avon Valley Academy is looking to appoint a caring and motivated Inclusion Higher Level Teaching Assistant (HLTA)to provide support to SEND students and/or those requiring behaviour intervention support. This is a wonderful opportunity to join its dedicated team, who encourage all students to have high self-worth and love coming to school.
Contract: Fixed term (until 18th July 2025).Working Hours: Part time (32.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 39 weeks per year, includes Teacher Training Days).Required: ASAP.

As an Inclusion HLTA, you must be able to work across all age ranges and abilities within our school and be prepared to work flexibly to support our SEND and / or Behaviour leads in monitoring and raising the learning, achievement and attainment of pupils. This includes triaging behaviour incidents, liaising with teachers and SENCO and supporting students with behaviour needs, including those requiring SEN support, out of lessons. Successful candidates will be expected to support and promote an inclusive culture through the school, enabling all pupils to achieve their best and overcome barriers to learning and participation.
