Description Permanent Contract | £30,559 to £32,654 per annum (Scale G) | 37 hours per week | County Hall We have a great opportunity for a Support Technician to join a busy team of data and technology professionals using the latest tools to provide Data Platforms, Data Solutions and Business Intelligence (BI) software for Norfolk County Council. Norfolk County Council is the main local authority for Norfolk providing services county wide to Norfolk residents. We take a lead in critical policy areas, and we work in partnership with local businesses, voluntary organisations and other local authorities to provide the people of Norfolk with excellent services. You’ll help support our self-service BI and analytics framework across the organisation and day to day you will be involved with: Providing technical support for operational systems Resolving customer problems Supporting the development and change of the council’s enterprise Business Intelligence systems Monitoring changes introduced by our Software as a Service providers and assessing the impact on day to day activity Documenting and maintaining up to date procedures and processes Developing and encouraging user engagement Working with colleagues from other disciplines You will need to be Flexible and highly motivated Customer focussed Passionate for learning new technologies and understanding the needs of users Able to work collaboratively with customers, partners, suppliers and colleagues in Digital Services Curious, data driven and able to self-start in a dynamic, rapidly evolving environment. We’re looking for candidates who have a keen interest and experience using BI software or providing BI as a service.
