Saïd Business School, Park End Street, Oxford, OX1 1HP Saïd Business School are recruiting a Senior Research Fellow in Management Science (i.e., Associate Professor or Professor of Management Science, depending on experience). The School welcomes applications from faculty who are already established in a business school or related department as a tenure-track or tenured faculty member. In some cases, the title of full Professor may be awarded on appointment. The post will be held in association with Reuben College. The successful candidate will be appointed to a Fellowship by Special Election at Reuben College, and will be a member of the Governing Body of the College. Within the Management Science Group, the research interests span a variety of applications of operational research and statistical methods. The research is regularly published in leading journals, including Manufacturing and Service Operations Management, Management Science, and the Journal of the American Statistical Association. Members of the group have strong connections with the academic community, serving as journal associate editors and reviewers. They routinely present their research at academic workshops and conferences. The position is tenable from 1 September 2025 or at a different date by negotiation. Closing date is 12 midday GMT on Monday the 9th of December. The successful candidate for this post will have a world-class academic background and be committed to a programme of intellectually rigorous, up-to-date, and relevant research in the field of management science that is publishable in the top-tier academic journals in this field, such as those on the Financial Times academic journals list and the CABS Academic Journal Guide 4* journals list. It is essential, therefore, that applicants are already able to show a track record of publishing in these top-tier academic journals (commensurate with their career stage) and be able to clearly demonstrate potential to publish in these types of academic journals in the future. Finally, a successful candidate will possess expertise that complements and equally enriches the research in Management Science that resonate with the mission, values and strategy of the Saïd Business School and wider University overall. The successful candidate will be expected to contribute to the School’s graduate teaching programmes, in particular the MBA & EMBA, as well as contribute to the School’s executive education activities, which span open enrolment and custom programmes. Salary will be competitive relative to senior-level appointments in Management Science and proven academic distinction can be recognised by the University by the award of the title of Professor upon appointment.
