Swift ward is a 27 bedded emergency & elective orthopaedic ward, compromising of single and double patient rooms. As a department we focus on autonomous and nurse led/ patient focused care. As a department, we focus heavily on enhanced recovery, with patients staying on average 2 days post surgery.
As a registered nurse, you will work closely with your nursing colleagues as well as the wider multidisciplinary team, consisting of doctors, physios, OT and the discharge team. to facilitate the speedy and safe discharges of our patients.
This role will include Long days, short days, nights, weekends and bank holidays as per rota.

Main duties of the job
As a registered nurse you will provide a high standard of care and support the team to deliver a high quality service which is linked to high standards of patient care.
Your main responsibilities include:
Support patient with their ADL's
Facilitate the safe and speedy discharges
Post op wound care
Managing deteriorating patients
Provide patient centred/ focused care
Work with multidisciplinary teams
Support clinical support workers in their duties
