Benefits include: 33 Days Annual Leave (FTE) Pro Rata for Part Time Buy And Sell Holiday Free Life Insurance Cycle2work Scheme Attendance Reward Free Use of Onsite Gym, Up to 9% employer pension contribution (5% employee) Blue Light Card discounts Enhanced Maternity & Paternity allowance Role Details: Role: Dementia and Mental Wellbeing Enabler Hours: 34 hours per week Contract: Permanent Rate: £14.45 per hour (£25,616.38pa, pro rata of FTE) Location: Solihull Retirement Village, Birmingham, B90 2FH Essential requirements Knowledge of Dementia and Mental Health conditions and the ability to provide one to one support to people living with those conditions Caseload management experience Experience of working within a multidisciplinary team Experience of using cognitive assessments Skills and Competencies Ability to develop empathic relationships with residents Ability to use supervision effectively and self-reflect Capacity to remain motivated even when working under pressure Respect for other people's rights of autonomy Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to apply your knowledge of psychosocial and solution focused interventions to residents' problems Understand the limits of your role and when to escalate cases for clinical input Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Outlook, Excel) Formal qualification in relevant field (Health & Social Care, Psychology, Counselling) Good understanding of the psychosocial approach Good understanding of the needs of individuals living with dementia Be able to describe pharmacological and non-pharmacological treatments for dementia symptoms Good understanding of the needs of individuals living with common mental health conditions Values and behaviour Aptitude for team working and fostering good working relationships A positive attitude to tackling challenges An honest and open approach to internal communication A genuine commitment to equal opportunities by their promotion and application in the workplace and in relation to residents and the wider community through creating an inclusive environment ExtraCare strives to create a workplace that fully reflects society.
