Bamboo Thai is seeking an experienced Isaan Thai Chef to join our team in our busy restaurant on the Wirral, UK As a Thai Chef, you will be responsible for creating and preparing authentic regional Thai dishes, ensuring a high standard of food quality and taste. Your expertise in Thai cuisine will contribute to the overall success of our expansion plans and leave a lasting impression on our customers. Responsibilities: Prepare and cook a variety of Thai dishes, including starters, main courses, and desserts, adhering to our specific and regional recipes and techniques Ensure the quality and freshness of ingredients used in food preparation Collaborate with the kitchen team to develop new menu items and innovative recipes while maintaining the authenticity of Thai cuisine Monitor and maintain inventory levels of food supplies, ensuring adequate stock for daily operations Maintain a clean and organized kitchen environment, following proper food safety and sanitation procedures Train and supervise kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and presentation of dishes Maintain up-to-date knowledge of Thai culinary trends and techniques to continuously enhance the menu offerings Requirements: Extensive working experience as an Issan Thai Chef, in a fast-paced restaurant environment where regional Issan speciality food is a key part of the menu In-depth knowledge of Thai cuisine, ingredients, and cooking techniques Ability to create and execute authentic Thai recipes, while also incorporating creativity and innovation Strong understanding of food safety and sanitation regulations Excellent communication and leadership skills Ability to work well under pressure and meet tight deadlines Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays, as required.
