The acquisition has secured our role as a critical supplier to the next generation of UK defence programmes. As part of this programme of work our plant and equipment will be modernised over the next 10 years, creating new opportunities for the business and our colleagues.
Based at our 64-acre site, sitting in the heart of Sheffield, we are looking for a Reliability Engineer to work in our Melting department. This role will involve being responsible for the Planned Maintenance Plan for the melting area; establishing maintenance best practice and compliance through the introduction of Key Performance Indicators.
Role Responsibilities
1. Manage all aspects of scheduling, downtime and shutdown maintenance within the department.
2. Take responsibility for the coordination and planning of Maintenance rectification work.
3. Using analytic techniques develop and maintain an accurate estimate of Mean Time Between Failure and Mean Time Before Failure of equipment.
4. Create and keep an up to date set of Technical Documents which detail instructions for asset care for equipment.
5. Responsible for conducting equipment criticality studies through the implementation of Reliability Centred Maintenance (RCM) projects.
6. Manage the effective utilisation of the Computerised Maintenance Management System (CMMS) through the departmental Engineering team.
7. Through Root Cause Analysis, review and continually improve the efficiency and effectiveness of the maintenance plan.
8. Develop a continuous improvement culture within their department.
About You
The following relevant skills, knowledge and experience are required:
1. Apprentice trained.
2. Maintenance Engineering knowledge.
3. In-depth knowledge of Health and Safety in the workplace and improvements made in support of H&S.
4. Capable of creating both visual and audible information from analysing faults, failures and performance improvements.
5. Skills in developing process/maintenance performance measures.
6. Has a strong predictive and non-intrusive approach to the Maintenance of critical equipment.
7. Strong background within Planned Maintenance and the use of a CMMS system (Spidex, SAP, MAXIMO, PMI etc.).
Days/Hours of Work
37.5 hours per week, Monday – Friday, 7:45am - 4:00pm.
