We are looking for an enthusiastic and adaptable Children's Community Nurse to join our caring and progressive team in Faversham.
You will work as part of a close-knit team who are dedicated to the health and wellbeing of people in Faversham. Faversham is made up of a diverse patient group with complex needs.
District nurses make a difference by making sure our services are proactive and patient-focused, helping to keep people at home and independent for longer.
Our community nursing teams are closely aligned with local Primary Care Networks, to make sure patient care is holistic and joined up. We believe in treating the whole person, not just the condition, so we take time to get to know our patients.
Main duties of the job
Community nurses provide complex nursing care to people at home.
As a community nurse, you'll
* assess the healthcare needs of patients and families
* monitor the quality of care they're receiving
* be professionally accountable for its delivery
As a Children's Community Nurse, you will work as part of a team to keep people safe and well at home. You will use your clinical judgment to support evidence-based care planning for people living at home, in care homes or other settings and ensure that people who use our services have a good experience.

Qualifications
Essential
* Registered Nurse (Child Branch) or RSCN. Evidence of relevant post-registration training.
Desirable
* Leadership and management training.
Experience
Essential
* At least 2 - 3 years post-registration clinical experience working with children and their families.
Desirable
* Experience of palliative care within the community setting.
Knowledge
Essential
* Sound nursing knowledge and experience of all basic clinical nursing skills, including care of Tracheostomies, enteral feeding devices & Central venous catheters.
Desirable
* Understanding of the different roles of nurses within community settings.
Personal Attributes
Essential
* Approachable, confident, empathetic, trustworthy, passionate about delivery of high-quality nursing care.
