RG Consultancy are working with a very well established firm of solicitors in Stockport who are looking to add to their finance department. This is a newly created role to support the Head of Finance. 24 days holiday 8 bank 3 extra days for Christmas closure Birthday off x1 extra day Free onsite parking Long service awards Health and wellbeing benefits Sick pay Maternity and paternity pay Life cover x4 salary Private medical Company pension Christmas bonus Social events, summer/Christmas To assist the head of finance with smooth running of the department, duties will include: Support and oversee the processing and recording all financial transactions including logging and banking cheques, issuing cheques, bank transfers and petty cash To assist with the monthly management accounts Month end reporting, support with KPI's Bank reconciliations, payment runs Oversee and support invoice processing, accounts payable and receivable to support a small team of legal cashiers Support with budgeting, forecasting and cashflow Liaising with external auditors and to provide support with audit Prepare payroll and payroll administration VAT administration and returns To provide full support to finance department in the absence of the Head of Finance Provide support to oversee a small team of legal cashiers The Person Experience within a legal setting, accountancy practice or other professional service sector is an advantage AAT qualified is desirable but not essential Prior experience overseeing a small team Strong IT skills, particularly MS Excel are essential
