LUNCHTIME SUPERVISORY ASSISTANT
JOB OVERVIEW
Manston Primary School is a caring and exciting place to work in Leeds. We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic lunchtime assistant for a term-time permanent position as soon as possible.
The successful candidate will be a friendly and reliable team member with an interest in working with children in our wonderful school. At Manston Primary, we pride ourselves on fostering a nurturing and inclusive environment for both staff and pupils.
WHAT WE OFFER
Term-time hours.
5 days per week, 11.50 am – 1.20 pm.
Competitive salary of £12.26 per hour.

Starting Monday 24th February 2025 (or sooner for induction if available).

JOB REQUIREMENTS
You will be responsible for:
Supporting pupils while they eat their lunch, cutting up food for pupils, ensuring tables are clean, and making sure water is available.
Ensuring standards for healthy eating and table manners are maintained.
Reporting accidents to the Midday Supervisor and completing accident forms if necessary.
Ensuring that school behaviour policies are followed.
Supporting the work of other Supervisory Assistants.
Supporting induction and training of new staff as required by the Midday Supervisor.
Responding to duty delegation as required by the Midday Supervisor.
Leading the children in the establishment of suitable playground games/activities.
Recording inappropriate pupil behaviour and conveying serious incidents to the Midday Supervisor and/or teacher.
Maintaining checks throughout the lunch break to ensure pupils are safe.
Following advice given by the Midday Supervisor on action to be taken in cases of inclement weather.
