Job Description
We are currently looking for a Senior Group & Event Executive (Short Lead) to further strengthen our reactive sales team for The Hoxton London.
Working across our London portfolio comprising of The Hoxton Shoreditch, Holborn, Southwark, and Shepherds Bush you will be responsible for leading the short lead sub-division to big success.
Working closely with the Head of GME Sales & Head of GME Planning, you’ll have experience in reactive sales and thrive in a fast-paced environment, securing new business for the cluster within a 2-28 day lead time.
What you'll do...
1. Be the first line of contact for Short Lead group and event enquiries via phone and email.
2. Manage one additional team member from recruitment and induction, managing workload & resource distribution through to training, development plans and reviews.
3. Initiate new processes to further shape the short lead operation, observing areas for improvement and communicating with the Head of GME Sales & Head of GME Planning for support when needed.
4. Create contracts, pro-forma invoices and deposit payments.
5. Attend weekly M&E revenue meetings & present updates on bookings.
6. Maintain sound understanding of revenue performance and budget figures, directing business to weaker need periods.
7. Have a great understanding of our operation – and ensure that Hotel teams have tip-top handovers with all the details they need to deliver memorable guest experiences.
8. Actively contribute to a positive team culture as part of a fast paced, growing, multi-property department.
9. Build strong relationships & communication with other Hoxton teams, championing positive collaboration across multiple areas of the Business.
10. Keep your thinking cap on at all times, get creative when problem solving & don’t be afraid to challenge the norm – we want your fresh ideas!
Qualifications
What we're looking for...
11. Experience working within reactive sales in groups or events within hotels, venues or private members clubs.
12. Experience of using a hotel CRM system such as OPERA and/or Delphi would be an advantage.
13. You’re hungry to achieve and ready for an elevated position in a large team.
14. You’re able to use your initiative for independent decision making and calm under pressure.
15. A people person, great at building strong and lasting relationships.
16. You enjoy working at a fast pace, know how to stay organised and get the details right.
17. You’re looking for a challenge and a place where you can be you (no clones in suits here).
18. You’re not precious. We leave our egos at the door and help gets stuff done.
