Job Title: In-House Legal Counsel - Manufacturing Sector
Location: Rotherham, South Yorkshire
Salary: £55,000 - £65,000
CRA Consulting is delighted to be exclusively supporting a leading manufacturing firm in South Yorkshire in their search for an experienced Legal Counsel. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a well-established and innovative organisation, providing strategic and operational legal support to the business.
The Role:
Based out of their Rotherham office, this role will see the successful candidate take a key position within the business. Reporting directly to the senior leadership team, you will provide comprehensive legal advice across a wide range of matters, including:
1. Commercial contracts
2. Corporate governance
3. Compliance and regulatory issues
4. Dispute resolution
5. Employment law matters
6. Intellectual property protection
7. Risk management and mitigation
Key Responsibilities:
1. Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating a wide range of contracts with suppliers, customers, and other third parties
2. Advising on corporate transactions and commercial agreements
3. Managing any legal disputes, ensuring effective resolution and minimal business disruption
4. Ensuring compliance with all relevant laws and regulations, including health and safety, environmental, and employment law
5. Working closely with external counsel when necessary, ensuring high-quality advice and value for money
6. Supporting the business in strategic decision-making with pragmatic legal guidance
The Ideal Candidate:
The ideal candidate will have a solid background in commercial law, ideally with experience in the manufacturing or In House legal sector. You will need to be confident in managing a varied caseload, able to work autonomously, and comfortable advising senior stakeholders.
Key Requirements:
1. Qualified solicitor in England and Wales with a minimum of 4 years' PQE (Post-Qualified Experience)
2. Strong experience in drafting and negotiating commercial contracts
3. Broad understanding of corporate, commercial, and employment law
4. Excellent communication skills, with the ability to provide clear, practical advice to non-legal colleagues
5. Ability to manage multiple priorities and work effectively under pressure
6. Previous in-house experience would be highly desirable
