We'd like you to join us as a Rehabilitation Assistantacross our Whalley Road, Oswald House and Blackburn services in Lancashire. .

Whalley Road is a specialist residential home providing nursing care, support and rehabilitation to adults with a mental illness or learning disability. Our team is committed to supporting our residents to be independent, confident and resilient.
Purposefully small Oswald House has capacity for up to 9 female residents with complex and mental health conditions. We have a specialist team that provides our residents the opportunity to grow and maintain a healthy level of good physical and mental wellbeing.
Blackburn Road offers both long and short-term care in addition to respite breaks for adults with diagnosed mental health conditions. The house is purposefully small to offer a calm, tranquil and homely setting for residents, allowing them to focus on what’s important to them.
What you'll be working:
As and when required to cover holidays and sickness - working as a Bank Support Worker offers you the flexibility to balance work and home life or study as you are offered available shifts and you choose the shifts you would like to accept.
What you'll be doing:
1. Build relationships with the people we support, which are open and two way
2. Support to undertake their rehabilitation programme
3. Establish methods of communication with the people we support, reducing barriers when necessary
4. Support with activities of daily living and personal care when needed
5. Communicate any issues to the clinical team
6. Accurately report and/or record work activities
What you'll have:
7. A genuine interest in providing the best person centre care possible
8. The ability to communicate effectively at all levels
9. Experience working within the care sector / mental health would be an advantage but not essential
10. Successful candidates will be required to undergo an Enhanced DBS
