Rate of Pay: £17.98 - £22.93 per hour
Summary:
* To assist the Leisure Contracts Manager in the effective monitoring and management of the Leisure PPP contract, working in partnership to achieve contractual outcomes, outputs, and contractual compliance.
* Support senior managers to develop physical activity and sport opportunities that support wider corporate outcomes and strategic policy objectives.
Responsibilities:
* Assist in the development and ongoing monitoring of a physical activity strategy and action plan, contributing insight, research, and evidence available from local and national levels.
* Undertake leisure-based research and be responsible for keeping up to date with opportunities and key performance indicators to enable services to be planned and improved according to identified need.
* Manage one-off capital/revenue projects within the Sport and Leisure Team, as directed.
* Lead and develop key projects, funding bids, or programmes relating to increasing local physical activity levels.
* Oversee the maintenance and creation of leisure-based web pages, other information sources, and marketing materials as required.
Qualifications:
* A degree and/or a relevant professional qualification.
* Other professional qualifications.
Experience:
* Reasonable experience of leisure centre working or contract management.
* Practical experience of managing small projects or programmes and Project Management techniques and skills.
* Knowledge of Performance Management schemes, systems, and procedures.
* Experience in a large public or voluntary sector organisation, probably local government, is desirable.
* Experience of analysing data and insight, including financial data, is desirable.
* Experience of using a range of word-processing and spreadsheet packages and networked PCs, and of understanding basic web design.
