Job summary University Hospitals Dorset have a vacancy for a Biomedical Engineering Technician based at the Royal Bournemouth Hospital. The duties will include troubleshooting and repair, asset management, commissioning of new equipment, and routine scheduled maintenance to medical and communications devices. An HND/B Eng. or equivalent level of qualification and knowledge is required. This should be demonstrated through several years experience within relevant electronics, engineering, communications fields, with additional post qualification training via manufacturer courses and experience. A minimum of 3 years relevant post qualification work experience in the servicing, repair and calibration of electronic equipment is required. Knowledge and experience of Medical equipment maintenance would be desirable, as would radio communications maintenance. You will be expected to be able to demonstrate self motivation, the upholding of professional standards, be conscientious and well organised in your approach. You will be working 37.5 hours per week, Monday to Friday, with a frequent requirement to travel to sites across Dorset as necessary.
