BCS Connect is looking for an experienced Site Manager to oversee a water treatment project for our client in Huddersfield. This is a freelance opportunity running until approximately August to October.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Management & Supervision:
Lead daily site operations to ensure the project is delivered on time and within budget.
Manage and coordinate subcontractors, ensuring efficient workflow and productivity.
Monitor site progress and provide regular updates to senior management.
Ensure all materials, equipment, and resources are used effectively.
Health, Safety & Compliance:
Conduct Health & Safety briefings and enforce compliance with site regulations.
Carry out site inductions for new workers, ensuring adherence to safety procedures.
Identify and mitigate any site risks to maintain a safe working environment.
Ensure all activities align with relevant legislation and company policies.
Technical & Operational Duties:
Oversee heavy civils work, ensuring high-quality execution.
Coordinate with mechanical & electrical (M&E) teams to integrate systems seamlessly.
Review method statements and risk assessments to maintain quality and safety.
Manage temporary works and ensure site logistics are well-organized.
Liaise with clients, engineers, and suppliers to keep the project running smoothly.
Attend site meetings, providing updates and addressing any challenges.
Resolve any on-site issues promptly to prevent project delays.
Requirements:
Proven experience in managing water treatment projects.
Strong background in heavy civils, with some M&E exposure.
Excellent leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to drive projects forward, ensuring timely completion.
