Putlands Veterinary Surgery is a mixed vet practice located in Paddock Wood, Kent – Putlands pride themselves on their provision to the community in treating pets, farm animals and equine and providing the highest standard of veterinary care to all. Through the variety of patients, they offer an opportunity for its nursing team to develop an extensive list of skills and qualifications and explore interests.
We are looking for a Head Registered Veterinary Nurse to lead our close-knit, passionate team for 40 hours a week. The hours will be working between Monday – Friday 8am to 7pm and Saturday 8am to 12noon. We can offer flexibility on days, but to include 2 in 7 Saturdays with time back in lieu. This is a fixed-term position covering maternity starting in August 2025 for 12 months.
We would welcome someone to be innovative with what our nursing team can offer and develop them further. You will ideally have either a further clinical qualification or management experience so you can guide our team forwards and make us even better! We will happily support your further development. We are a nurse training practice, so we would need someone who would be happy to be a clinical coach for SVNs (training provided if needed).

* RCVS Registered Veterinary Nurse
* Proven GP skills and surgery experience
* Eagerness to learn and develop
* Clinical coaching experience or interest preferred
* Strong focus on exceptional patient care

* Positive, enthusiastic approach to tasks
* Strong organisational and attention-to-detail skills
