About Freja
Freja is the UK’s leading bone broth brand, a category that sits between premium ingredients and functional food, with an ecommerce-first business model. Following 4 years of rapid growth and a recent investment round, we are refreshing our brand, and building a team to scale the business.
We’re a small internal team that punches above our weight. We operate a flat structure and a ‘get things done’ mentality. We all roll our sleeves up and execute.
About the Role
We are looking for an enthusiastic and experienced Copywriter to help us build the brand into a household name and a trusted resource for modern nutrition and natural living.
The essence of the role is to take ownership of our brand - not just what we say and how we say it, but what we stand for - and to deploy this at scale through written content.
To succeed in the role, you’ll have relevant experience gained in a similar sized company, and be ready to step up to a broader set of responsibilities.
* Core brand copy e.g. about us page, product descriptions
* Short-form e.g. social posts, newsletters, promotions
* Long-form e.g. lifestyle blogs, nutritional studies
We want you to truly get under the skin of our brand, to know where we stand on matters relating to natural food and healthy living, and know the role of our product in human nutrition. To further develop the brand, and take the conversation beyond food and nutrition, you must also develop a deep understanding of the customer and their interests, and find areas where we can talk to them on their own ground.
About you
This role would suit someone with a nuanced understanding of functional wellness and nutrition, plus a genuine interest in lifestyles such as paleo and keto (we’re definitely not on the ‘plant based’ marketing bandwagon).
We’re looking for a copywriter with breadth and depth:
Breadth - the ability to communicate effectively across a variety of content formats and audiences.
Depth - experience of presenting complex information, such as peer-reviewed scientific studies, in easily digestible formats.
You’ll be used to a high level of output, be able to optimise your time effectively, and use emerging technologies to assist your work where relevant.
Skills & Experience (in addition to the above)

* Technical understanding of content marketing, email and SEO
* Ability to take ownership and execute against multiple workstreams
* Understands how to communicate with a team in a remote environment
* Attention to detail, but understands the “done” is better than “perfect”
* Ability to work within small a team both professionally and personally
