Stores Person:
An exciting opportunity has arisen within Stirling Council's Facilities Management Team for a Stores Person based in the Cornton area to cover schools, nurseries, and corporate buildings for the Facilities Management Service Area.
The post will involve providing a 35-hour, 5-day per week professional stores service on a 52-week basis. The hours are from 9 am - 5 pm (to be reviewed after 6 months and timings adjusted if service requirements are not met 10 am - 6 pm). This post will be paid at Stirling Council Grade 5.
Key Responsibilities:
* Good knowledge of stores issuing/receipt processes.
* Awareness of safe distribution practices and manual handling.
* Full understanding of Health and Safety procedures throughout the workplace.
* Proficient in computerised business tools (MS Office such as Excel and Word).
* Good communication skills.
* Full driver's license.
* Inventory management experience.
* Trained in purchasing system My Portal.
* Experience of working within a warehouse/dispatch environment.
* PAT testing certificate.
Personal protective equipment, tools, and training will be provided. Applicants should be capable of lifting heavy items and prepared to work alone. A working knowledge of IT is also required, and candidates must be willing to undertake training to utilise Stirling Council's online training and human resources IT applications.
