General Medicine Resident Trust Specialist (Higher)

You will work as part of a ward team led by a consultant with input from doctors in training, Advance Clinical Practitioners and also as part of a wider multi-disciplinary medical team.
Main duties of the job
This is a primarily ward-based position working a standard 40-hr week. Participating in the general medical on-call rota at registrar level is expected and remunerated with the appropriate enhancement to pay. You will be expected to lead ward rounds, contribute to the running of Ambulatory Emergency care services, Same day emergency care services, general medical outpatient care and contribute to the development of junior colleagues.

Job responsibilities
To support the in-patient and out-patient services in the Emergency Division at Warwick Hospital and to provide senior support and guidance to the junior medical team.
Research, Education, Audit and Continuing Professional Development:
1. To take responsibility for continuing professional education in accordance with guidelines set out by the appropriate college/faculty/professional body.
2. To initiate and participate in research and audit programmes in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
3. To work in collaboration with colleagues in developing skills to provide new ways of working across different professions, organisations i.e. community/primary care.
