HGV Driver / Loader
Salary – £14.79 PH
Hours – 40 hours per week (Monday to Friday), with mandatory overtime taking it up to 50 hours per week if required to complete daily collections.
Location – Falkirk, Scotland
As a Driver/Loader at FCC Environment, you will play a key role in the collection of various waste streams, including food, glass, and AHP. Working as part of a team, you will ensure waste is collected safely and efficiently while maintaining a high standard of customer service.
This vacancy is for a full-time position, working five days per week; however, we will consider requests for job shares to suit your lifestyle (working full days).

What will you be doing?
•Direct tipping of food and AHP waste at third-party locations.
•Transport and unload glass waste at designated tipping points.
•Collect food, glass, and AHP waste as directed by the Contract Manager.
•Collect and sort glass boxes when required.
•Work collaboratively as part of a team to complete daily collections.
•Interact courteously with customers and members of the public.
•Adhere to health and safety regulations and wear provided PPE at all times.
•Report any non-conforming waste, unsafe acts, incidents, or accidents to management.
•Assist in depot and vehicle cleaning when required (training provided).
•Undertake any training required for the role.
What are we looking for?
•Must be physically fit due to the nature of the work.
•Must have a current Cat C Licence as a minimum
•Must have a current up to date CPC Driver Qualification 35hrs
•Knowledge of the Falkirk District would be a distinct advantage.
•An understanding of Health and Safety in the workplace.
•Must be prepared to wear PPE uniform that will be provided.
•Must be reliable and trustworthy.
•Be courteous to the public.
•Ability to use own initiative.
•Previous experience is desirable, although full training will be given.
•Ability to follow clear instructions accurately.
•Flexible attitude towards working additional hours as required.
•Willingness to undergo additional training.
