Consider the role of an Engagement Officer at Reed in Partnership We are on a mission to be the partner of choice for developing people and their communities. Reed in Partnership is a public service provider specialising in skills training for the long-term unemployed, increasing employment opportunities by working with employers and providing youth services. This role is working as part of the Work and Health Programme. The service gives people who face additional barriers to finding work the best support available. It is part of a wider package of support for jobseekers and people with disabilities and health conditions announced by the government and aims to bring jobseekers, support provision and employers together to provide greater opportunities for those looking for work. What is the role about? An Engagement Officer is responsible for raising awareness and promotion of the Reed in Partnership programmes within the community. This is done by utilising referral opportunities, attending events and partnering with local organisations to directly connect with individuals who may be interested and could benefit from our services. Just some of your day-to-day responsibilities will include: Sell the programme and products to Partners and potential participants explaining the service offering, rights and responsibilities to participants. Promote brand exposure and services at regional events and meetings Seek out and maximise referral sources and repeat business Co-ordinate partners’ activities and ensure stakeholder engagement Conduct Initial Assessments to understand participants’ needs and barriers and how Reed in Partnership can support them. Identify appropriate solutions and interventions for participants Liaise with relevant partners to assist with barriers to employment. What’s in it for you? To be successful in this role, we are looking for someone with: Essential Criteria: Experience of working with a wide range of individuals, managing different needs and selling or promoting a service or product. Confident communicator, ability to build rapport with a range of stakeholders. Experience working in the community, fundraising, sales or in a people facing role. Experience working in a targeted environment Interest in people and willing to go the extra mile. Willingness to travel locally. A minimum of 2 A-Levels or an equivalent Level 3 Diploma. GCSE English Language at a minimum of a Grade B (or equivalent Level 2 qualification). OR achievement of a Level 2 in Literacy Assessment at interview stage.
