Are you looking for a fun and varied job in hospitality management? YHA Broad Haven is looking for a manager who will oversee either the kitchen or housekeeping and reception.
Based near a spectacular part of the Pembrokeshire coastline, only a stone's throw away from the beach, we are looking for a dedicated duty manager to assist in the smooth running of the hostel. What will you be doing as a Duty Manager?
We are a friendly team and will provide the training required for you to undertake the role. However, there is plenty for you to get stuck into from day one, including:
* Guiding and supporting team members working in all areas of the hostel, fostering a collaborative and inclusive work environment.
* Using our systems for efficient guest check-ins and check-outs, food and beverage sales and service, and other management functions.
* Carrying out housekeeping duties, ensuring a comfortable, clean environment for all visitors.
* Assisting in the preparation of food and serving food and drinks with genuine warmth, hospitality, and pride that will influence more sales.
What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Duty Manager?
Our Duty Managers are responsible for the line management of the teams within their own hostels, along with the management of occasional volunteers. They are also responsible for managing the operational budget and the safeguarding of all guests.
To provide this service, we are looking for candidates who have:
* Experience of working face-to-face with customers
* Experience in hospitality or customer service, including the management and delivery of a quality service
* Experience of managing a team – experience of leading others, providing guidance to team members (desirable)
* Food safety level 2 and APLH level 2 qualifications (desirable)

Catering Manager
What will you be doing as a Catering Manager?
We are a friendly team and will provide the training required for you to undertake the role. However, there is plenty for you to get stuck into from day one, including:
* Managing the food and beverage operation within your hostel
* Leading the preparation and delivery of food to agreed YHA standards
* Carrying out cleaning duties predominantly within our kitchen and food service areas
* Minimising food and beverage waste
* Maximising food and beverage profits
What Skills and Experience do you need to be a Catering Manager?
Our Catering Managers are responsible for supporting the management of an operational budget and delivery of KPIs.
To provide this service, we are looking for candidates who have:
* Experience in hospitality, including the management and delivery of a quality service
* Experience of food and beverage best practices
* Working knowledge of allergens and health and safety compliance requirements
* Experience of managing a team – experience of leading others, providing guidance to team members
* Ability to manage varying pressures, including peaks in workload demands – can prioritise, able to deal with conflicting duties
