We are looking for a Compliance Manager to join our team in the defence sector at Wincanton based in Motherwell. Main responsibilities will be to maintain compliance to legislation, contract requirements, maintain relevant licences and accreditations. This will be for all Scotland contracts, to ensure the monitoring of compliance to defence legislation requirements.
Successful candidates will be required to obtain and maintain security clearance prior to commencing employment which includes providing 5 consecutive years UK residence and employment/education history.

Day to Day
· Maintain and carry out Internal Audits, raising associated CAR’s with their corrective and preventative actions, follow through for validation and produce monitoring reports.
· Record Customer Complaints, as applicable, raising associated corrective / preventative actions and validate with monitoring reports.
· Monitor and record supplier’s performance, as applicable.
· Raise Quarantine / Rejection Reports, as applicable, monitor and report on the Quarantine Areas and processes being operated.
· Monitor and record internal quality performance with emphasis on Continual Improvement and problem identification / resolution.
· Ensure the monitoring and control of site Quality Documents including maintaining temp. / humidity data where appropriate.
· Assist in the calibrated instruments programme including holding of certificates and arranging re-calibration
· Assist with the control and issue of all company inspection stamps as required.
· Participate and liaise with LR / customer / etc. site audits and inspections.
· Update Site Quality Procedures, Quality Plans and Working Instructions and maintain agreed scheduled actions. Such actions can arise from internal reviews or from external reviews / assessments.
· Assist with identification and resolution of general quality issues, in conjunction with or the site management team.
· Ensure processes for compliance to legislation are up to date and followed by the operations team
· Monitor records to ensure that Security Training is completed annually for all staff.
· Ensure Wincanton are working to the appropriate standards as defined legally or in relation to customer requirements, this includes but is not limited to UK and US regulations.
· Preparation for specific business security and risk related audits.
· Guide the Senior Operations Managers and teams in establishing regulatory requirements with regards to any new or additional contractual requirements
What will you bring?
· Experience working in a Defence environment would be beneficial
· Ability to maintain focus and determine requirements to support the site activities.
· Auditor skills and experience.
· Knowledge of CAA requirements for packaging.
· Development and improvement of group level policy, processes, and procedures.
· Quality management of a warehouse
· Good understanding of one or more management system: ISO 9001, ISO14001 or ISO 45001.
· Ability to investigate issues and produce succinct accurate reports.
· Host management reviews (QMR’s).
· Ability to complete Root cause analysis.
· Good customer facing experience to present on quality and legislative issues.
· Team player but able to operate independently
· Flexible with travel to our other Scotland sites – Requirement
