About the role
We’re looking for a Client Onboarding Analyst; focused on ensuring the successful onboarding of new clients to Motorway Pay and ensuring they are enabled to work successfully with the service going forward. This is a critical part of the client experience and there is significant potential to support and input into the evolution and enhancement of the Motorway Pay capability.
This role will work closely with our Payment Operations team, Dealer Services teams and Payments Leadership.
The role will involve:
1. Driving and supporting the Motorway Pay onboarding journey of Clients by managing a portfolio of Client Onboarding cases.
2. Carrying out Client Due Diligence (CDD) and Know Your Customer (KYC) checks - assessing and validating a variety of business structures to identify and document requirements under relevant regulations including FCA, JMLSG and Anti-Money Laundering legislation.
3. Reviewing and managing authorisation of user access to maintain secure and compliant administration of Motorway Pay.
4. Ensuring Motorway continues to comply with relevant regulatory, legal and contractual obligations by understanding and implementing respective guidance.
5. Investigating and validating information and documentation submissions from both Clients and Suppliers.
6. Engaging with Clients, Suppliers, internal teams and stakeholders to troubleshoot issues and ensure Client Onboarding cases are progressed to completion effectively.
7. Reviewing and approving Client applications to join the wider Motorway platform.
8. Advising and supporting internal teams in the management of accurate and valid Client records.
9. Troubleshooting issues related to CDD/KYC checks to ensure the process is as quick and seamless as possible.
10. Dealing with questions and concerns and ensuring prompt resolution to ensure Clients and Suppliers feel valued by Motorway.
11. Supporting the administration of our Payment Capability, enabling us to operate efficiently and securely.
Additional responsibilities may include:
1. Responding to telephone calls, email and personnel requests for technical or operational support from our Dealers and Suppliers.
2. Researching legislation and regulations to advise on updates to internal processes and guidance.
3. Identifying, researching, and resolving Client technical, operational, or procedural problems.
4. Documenting, tracking, and monitoring problems to ensure a timely resolution.
5. Producing reports on the Payments adoption journey and process.
What we’re looking for:
1. Experience operating in a compliance role and/or regulated environment.
2. Demonstrable knowledge and understanding of KYC/CDD.
3. Task oriented with a strong attention to detail.
4. Proactive with a strong bias for action.
5. Someone that loves rolling their sleeves up and doing whatever’s required to achieve the goals of the payments team and wider business.
6. Outstanding written and verbal communication.
7. You’re comfortable working in a scale up stage business, where time is critical, and things change frequently.
8. You have an inquisitive mind and proactive approach to problem solving and issue resolution.
9. You enjoy self-leading and working independently in a fast-paced, constantly changing environment.
Beneficial Experience:
1. Experience in the payment industry or a related field.
2. Demonstrable knowledge of the motor trade industry.
3. Prior experience of supporting the operations of a Payments team and their clients.
