Trainer/Assessor – Residential Care Job Purpose: To deliver high-quality training and assessment to learners in the residential care sector, ensuring they develop the skills and knowledge required to excel in their roles. Main Duties and Responsibilities: Training and Assessment: 1. Participate in the recruitment, enrolment, and induction processes for new learners. 2. Deliver engaging and effective training sessions in various environments, including classroom, workplace, and online settings. 3. Develop comprehensive training programmes, lesson plans, and assessment materials tailored to the residential care sector. 4. Conduct ongoing assessments and provide constructive feedback to learners, ensuring they understand their progress and areas for improvement. 5. Provide individualised support to learners, referring them to external resources or services as needed. 6. Contribute to the overall enrichment of the learner experience by promoting participation in relevant activities and events. 7. Maintain a professional and conducive learning environment that fosters growth and development. 8. Ensure that training materials and resources reflect best practices, positively impacting retention, attendance, and achievement rates. 9. Engage in quality assurance processes to uphold educational and assessment standards. 10. Prepare learners for a range of qualifications and assessments specific to residential care. 11. Maintain accurate and detailed learner records, including reports and references. 12. Set and monitor personal targets and Individual Learning Plans (ILPs) in accordance with faculty and college policies. 13. Participate in open days, recruitment events, and other promotional activities to enhance the profile of the training programme. 14. Assist in the development and enhancement of training programmes related to residential care. Additional Duties: 1.
