They are currently seeking a driven and dedicated Senior Children's Support Worker to work in a Children's Residential Home setting. As a senior support worker, you will assist people with various physical challenges to improve their quality of life and independence.
Responsibilities:
1. Lead the team of care assistants you are responsible for and train new staff.
2. Have ownership of the care plan, including the creation of the care plan and its delivery.
3. Monitor general health and vital signs such as heart rate and blood pressure.
4. Communicate with families about their relative's progress.
5. Deliver activities to stimulate and engage residents.
6. Fill in medication reports.
7. Assist residents in dressing, washing, and using the bathroom.
8. Serve meals and assist with feeding when required.
Qualifications:
1. NVQ Level 3 in Health and Social Care/Children and Young People.
2. Be a driver with a clean UK Driving Licence.
3. Full DBS in place.
4. Previous Ofsted experience and a minimum of 1 year experience working within a Children's Residential Home setting.
