General hours of work are 40 hours per week with overtime opportunity. Hours and shift patterns tend to fall on days; however, you may also be required to work evenings, nights, and weekends. You will also be required to be on the on-call rota especially if you have the use of a company van.
Responsibilities of a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee:
The 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee sits at the heart of everything we do. You will be responsible for:
* Undertaking traffic counts, calls to clients and subcontractors, timings, and near misses.
* Maintenance of temporary traffic lights.
* Installing, maintaining and removing temporary traffic management such as deploying:
o cones,
o signs,
o frames,
o sandbags,
o and other equipment.
* Helping and guiding new trainees, once qualified.
What Good Looks Like for a 12d or Unit 2 Traffic Management Operative Trainee:
* Full driving licence, with no more than 6 points. Any driving bans must have been expired for at least 5 years.
* Able to pass a drug and alcohol test; your offer will depend on the outcome of this.
* Positive “can-do” attitude.
* Adaptability and flexibility.
