Do you have MOJ/OIC Claims Handling experience? If so, Keoghs are seeking a Claims Handler (CH2) to join their Liverpool team. The claims handler will be responsible for managing a caseload of pre-litigated and Low Value Pre Litigated Motor Claims for our Corporate clients.
Key Accountabilities
1. To effectively and efficiently manage a caseload of pre-litigated motor claims up to £25k, including high value/complex matters from inception to settlement.
2. Identify cases for early litigation with high prospects of success and low risk.
3. To support delivery of consistently high levels of service and productivity.
4. To work closely with colleagues within the firm to deliver consistently high levels of service.
5. To input accurate data and ensure data maintenance.
6. Interact and communicate with clients.
7. Mentoring, training, and being the technical referral point for other team members.
Working Hours
35 hours per week, Monday – Friday 9am – 5.00pm with 1 unpaid hour for lunch. Primary location for this role is Liverpool. This role is a hybrid role working 1 day in the office and 4 days from home.
Experience, Skills and Qualifications
1. ULR RTA handling experience of pre-litigated matters is essential; litigation knowledge would be desirable.
2. Full Claim cycle experience, from initial quantum assessment, liability investigation, and settlement negotiation.
3. Experience of using Microsoft Word, Excel, and email.
4. Customer service experience.
5. Excellent attention to detail.
6. Negotiation skills.
7. Communication skills.
8. Organisational skills.
9. Ability to mentor and support new starters.
Desirable
1. Litigation claims handling.
2. Knowledge of Loss of Use/Loss of Standing Charge desirable.
3. Mentoring junior members of the team.
