Starting salary of £60,000 - £70,000 p/a annual bonus Opportunity to work within a top-tier COMAH site Working on a variety of high-value and exciting projects What you'll do: As a Process Project Engineer, you will play a crucial role in managing projects across various values from initial FEED studies through to installation, commissioning and handover. You will be expected to maintain familiarity with a variety of process standards/guidance while delivering on multiple engineering disciplines within a project environment. Your responsibilities will also include preparing engineering tender/contract proposals for submission to third-party contractors/service providers. Working directly with site teams on a live manufacturing site, you will provide support and expertise while leading continuous improvement activities onsite. Identifying opportunities for improvements and optimization will be part of your daily tasks, as will the review of detailed process calculations for equipment selection and problem-solving purposes. Manage projects across a range of values (£50K to £1M) from initial FEED studies through to installation, commissioning and handover. Ensure familiarity with various standards (such as ATEX, PSSR, API, PSG8) Deliver on multiple engineering disciplines within a project environment. Prepare engineering tender/contract proposals for submission to third party contractors/service providers. Work directly with site teams on a live manufacturing site to provide support and expertise. Lead and participate in continuous improvement activities onsite. Identify opportunities for improvements and optimization. What you bring: The ideal candidate for the Process Project Engineer role will be a Degree Qualified Chemical Engineer (or similar), ideally with over 5 years' experience in a process engineering environment. You should have experience within a chemical manufacturing site (ideally COMAH) and familiarity with ATEX, PSSR, API, PSG8 standards/guidance would be a massive advantage. A broad understanding of multiple engineering disciplines within a project environment is essential and you should be comfortable preparing engineering tender/contract proposals for submission while working within a multifunctional team of engineers. Experience in leading and participating in continuous improvement activities onsite is crucial. Additionally, you should have experience of working on detailed process calculations for equipment selection/problem solving such as pump curves, relief and blowdown studies and Heat & Mass balances.
