An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Band 5 Staff Nurseto join the Adult Replacement Care Service Team at Osborne Court.
Osborne Court provides replacement care to adults andchildren with a learning disability, who require nursing care due to theircomplex health or behaviour. The post holder will be based in the adults service, 18 years and above, however, they will be required at times to work inthe children`s service. We are looking for a dynamic and motivated Nurse tojoin the team to deliver a clinically effective service with the overarchingaim that the adult service users who attend the service feel welcome, safe,confident, and keen to stay, thus providing a positive experience for all.
We are a very welcoming and supportive team and are happyto support a newly qualified nurse within this role. The post is full time, butpart time would be considered, and the post holder will be required to workflexible shifts including nights, bank holidays (closed during Christmas andNew Years Eve) and day shifts.

Main duties of the job
The post holder will be required to assist the serviceusers with personal care, moving and handling, supporting them to participatein a range of activities, socialising and making and maintaining friendships.They will admit and discharge service users, manage medication and carry outclinical interventions, for example, enteral feeding and oxygen therapy.
The post holder will need confidence to lead a shift anddelegate responsibilities. They need a supportive and positive attitude andwill be required to carry out staff supervision and training. They will act asa Named Nurse to a group of service users and therefore, experience indeveloping care plans, attending meetings, and carrying out home visits andassessments is essential.
The post holder will need excellent communication skills asthe role involves regular communication with families as well as otherprofessionals involved in the care of our adult service users. The post holderwill also need good IT skills to access various IT systems.
The successful applicant will be required to deliver thehighest quality care and ensure that the service users are at the heart of anycare or decisions made.
