Role Type Permanent What you'll be doing: Are you an experienced tax professional passionate about reporting and governance? Join Avon as our Tax Reporting and Governance Lead, where you will play a vital role in shaping our tax reporting framework and ensuring compliance in a dynamic environment. Key responsibilities: Managing Tax Reporting: Lead the monthly, quarterly, and annual tax reporting processes, ensuring strict adherence to established procedures and controls. Collaborate with Internal Audit and Finance teams to assess and implement necessary changes in alignment with the forthcoming UK SOX compliance. Technical Provisions: Ensure tax provisions are compliant with International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS). Take informed technical judgments on complex issues such as IFRIC 23 and deferred tax recognition, defending these positions with external auditors. Provide regular training to the wider finance community. Cash Tax Oversight: Manage cash tax through the Budget to Reforecast to Actual cycles, providing insights and identifying areas of opportunity for improvement. Compliance Management: Control the global tax compliance calendar, ensuring timely filing of tax returns and cash tax payments. Collaborative Governance: Work alongside regional tax managers and the transfer pricing manager to oversee governance policies, procedures, and tax risk control registers. Project Assistance: Support various ad hoc projects, including group restructuring, market entry, cash repatriation, and FX management. Qualifications and Experience: Extensive experience in IFRS tax reporting, ideally within a listed environment. Familiarity with ERP systems (preferably Oracle Hyperion (EPM/HFM)) and OneSource tax provision software. A strong background in leading tax reporting and governance matters within an industry setting. Skills and Competencies: Deep understanding of IFRS Tax Accounting. Ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines. An agile mindset with the capacity to manage change effectively. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
