A Day in the Life
The Coronary & Renal Denervation (CRDN) businesses are part of the Cardiovascular portfolio. Our customers are clinical and non-clinical, mainly (but not exclusively) within Interventional Cardiology. They include, Cardiologists, Theatre- and Cath Lab- Managers, Specialist Nurses, Directorate Managers, and Procurement.
Renal Denervation (RDN) is a device-based approach for reducing blood pressure in patients that have uncontrolled hypertension, which is the single largest contributor to death globally. Used in complement with pharmacological options and lifestyle changes, RDN may help over a billion patients globally get their blood pressure under control. Supported by a growing set of clinical evidence, RDN has the potential to transform the way hypertension is treated within clinical practice and is expected to significantly grow over the next 5 years.
To aid this vision, there is a constant focus on developing innovative solutions and a significant investment in R&D across the combined businesses. Setting and execution of clear field market development activities within this therapy area has been identified as an important growth driver.
Responsibilities may include the following and other duties may be assigned:
* Work closely with the RDN Market Development country lead to implement the market development strategy with a focus on pathway development in target accounts.
* Develop, build, and strengthen long-term relationships within primary and secondary care, including both RDN proceduralists and referring physicians (including Cardiology, Interventional Radiology, Nephrology, Hypertension Specialist).
* Identify and support the implementation of patient pathway optimization programmes for Hypertensive Patient Management, identify potential barriers and provide solutions, together with continuous evaluation and assessment for improvement.
* Create, develop and maintain Business Plans at a target account level with stakeholders to ensure sustainable patient access to the therapy and maintain sustainable market growth.
* Increase awareness and acceptance of RDN to drive adoption by educating referring physicians on clinical and economic evidence that demonstrates improved patient and economic outcomes.
* In partnership with the sales team, execute the regional tactical plans and programmes to expand the utilization of RDN therapies for the management of hypertension (and any future approved indications).
Required Knowledge and Experience:
* Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, nursing, biology, or other life science.
* Strong experience in the medical device or pharmaceutical industry – with expertise in market development, strategy implementation and execution.
* Excellent communicator and stakeholder manager with experience of working in complex business environments.
* A positive person with strong entrepreneurial skills who brings passion, energy and excellence in execution to their work.
* Attendance at evening meetings, customer related events and activities may be required, including weekends.
* >70% Travel is required.
We would prefer if you have existing knowledge of hypertension patient pathways and insights into the hypertension market, indications, guidelines, and evidence is preferred. Also, proven experience in setting tactical and operational direction for market development projects are advantageous.
