ABC Teachers are seeking a Behaviour Support Assistant to work within SEND Schools and Alternative provisions in East Birmingham.

* Provide 1:1 personalised support for a key student, tailoring your approach to their specific needs.
* Support and monitor the student’s academic and personal progress, working both inside and outside the classroom.
* Build positive relationships with students, offering firm but fair behaviour management to help them achieve their potential.
* Act as a proactive role model, fostering engagement, resilience, and emotional well-being.

Requirements
To be considered for the role of Behavior Support Assistant you will:
* A minimum of 1-year experience in a care, residential, or educational setting is required.
* Possess a valid DBS on the update service or be willing to undergo a DBS check.
* Demonstrate a genuine passion for working with young people, especially those with challenging behaviour, SEND needs, or adverse childhood experiences.
* A strong understanding and awareness of safeguarding practices.
* Background in therapeutic care or therapeutic practices.
* Strong behaviour management.
Salary is dependent on experience, training or qualifications. The minimum experience, training or qualifications required for this position are:
* A minimum of 1-year experience in a care, residential, or educational setting is required.
