We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Site Engineer to join our dynamic team. The successful candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring the successful delivery of commercial projects, working closely with project managers, site teams, and clients. This is a national role requiring flexibility to work across various project locations.
Key Responsibilities:
* Oversee and coordinate site engineering activities to ensure projects are completed on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.
* Interpret and set out project plans, drawings, and specifications.
* Conduct site surveys, establish control points, and manage setting out duties.
* Work closely with project managers, subcontractors, and site teams to ensure smooth project execution.
* Ensure compliance with health, safety, and environmental regulations at all times.
* Monitor and report on project progress, identifying and resolving any technical or operational challenges.
* Provide technical support and guidance to site teams, ensuring adherence to design specifications and best practices.
* Liaise with clients, consultants, and stakeholders to maintain effective communication and collaboration.
* Conduct quality control inspections and maintain accurate site records.
Requirements:
* A degree or HNC/HND in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
* Proven experience in a similar role within the commercial construction sector.
* Preferably worked on commercial, care homes and refurb projects
* Strong knowledge of setting out techniques using GPS, total stations, and laser levels.
* Familiarity with construction software such as AutoCAD, Revit, or BIM tools.
* Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure.
* Strong communication and teamwork abilities.
* A proactive approach with strong attention to detail.
* Full UK driving licence and willingness to travel nationally
