You’ll use your initiative and out-the-box thinking to create and manage dashboards, providing stakeholders with actionable insights.
The role focuses on designing and delivering robust BI solutions that support decision-making and provide the business with insights into its performance. The BI Developer will create and manage dashboards in Power BI, offering stakeholders actionable insights.
Sitting within an agile Financial Planning and Analysis team, this role will help to elevate and accelerate our existing Power BI reporting, transforming existing reporting and helping to deliver consistent and accurate data. The ideal candidate will be passionate about data and analytics and driven to deliver tangible improvements and efficiencies to our business.
Your role will involve:
* Create and maintain reports and visualisations in Power BI
* Optimise existing Power BI reports to handle large volumes of data efficiently
* Utilise large and complex datasets to serve information, working closely with the IT team to understand the database schema
* Identify data integrity issues and assist to design solution fixes
* Provide training to users where required to strengthen the understanding and effectiveness of available reports
What are we looking for?
* Strong knowledge of Power BI reporting and dashboard development
* Proficiency in SQL for data extraction, manipulation, and analysis.
* Technical understanding of IT infrastructure including Normalised and de-normalised database, SQL Server Management Studio, SSIS, Microsoft Excel
* Strong understanding of DAX and Power Query for data transformation
* Capable of managing multiple requests simultaneously and adapting to new requirements and systems.
* An appetite to stay up to date with emerging trends, tools, and techniques related to data analysis and visualisation, including leveraging the use of AI tools.
* Comfortable working with various stakeholders and communicating with those stakeholders using non-technical language.
