They are now seeking a dedicated Health & Safety Advisor to join their team on a permanent basis. About the Role: As the Health & Safety Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring a safe working environment across the company’s projects. While a construction background is preferred, our client is willing to provide industry-specific training for candidates with relevant Health & Safety experience. The role is primarily based at the company’s head office near Hitchin, with occasional travel to sites (1-2 times per month) to carry out assessments and audits. Key Responsibilities: Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations across all company projects and operations. Conduct regular risk assessments and audits at both the office and site locations. Provide Health & Safety advice and guidance to employees, ensuring best practices are followed. Assist in the development and implementation of health and safety policies and procedures. Deliver safety inductions and training sessions for new and existing staff. Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions. Maintain up-to-date knowledge of current H&S legislation and ensure the business is always compliant. Key Requirements: Previous experience working in a Health & Safety role, ideally within construction (although this is not essential). NEBOSH or IOSH qualification is essential. Strong knowledge of Health & Safety regulations and best practices. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and engage with people at all levels. Full UK driving licence, as travel to sites will be required (1-2 times per month). What’s on Offer: Competitive salary of £30,000 - £35,000, depending on experience.
