Job summary Are you a Mental Health Nurse RMN looking for a new challenge in Forensic Mental Health?Ash Ward provides inpatient care in a low secure setting. The service provides a safe, secure, and therapeutic environment for patients with a focus on risk assessment and reduction, rehabilitation and discharge planning for return to the community.You will be responsible for the provision of specialist forensic mental health nursing care and treatment for individuals who have a mental disorder and have demonstrated offending behaviour or who present a significant risk to others.You will be integral to the multi-disciplinary team, providing assessment and treatment to men of working age within a recovery focused service. Main duties of the job The role includes leading a team during the shift alongside a fellow RMN, providing evidenced-based care to our clients and working collaboratively with our community team colleagues to ensure that the admission and discharge process is effective. You will lead the clinical management of designated service users, ensuring comprehensive nursing care is assessed, implemented, and planned effectively. You will also be responsible for engaging junior staff and students in patient activities, and meticulously observing, reporting, and recording changes in patients' physical and mental health and behaviour. Additionally, you will support the Clinical Lead and Ward Manager in providing clinical leadership within the team, contributing to achieving team objectives, targets, and quality standards.
