Our Building Services team are looking for a Technical Lead to join the team on one of our Critical projects in London. The purpose of the role will be to manage the effective safe delivery of engineering services for your relevant package ensuring statutory mandatory and contractual obligations are met in a timely and professional manner.
As an experienced Systems Manager you will be well versed in ensuring our company adheres to legal & statutory standards and in-house policies where applicable. You will be responsible for enforcing regulations relevant to your package in all aspects as well as providing guidance on compliance matters to the engineering team(s) and in support of your Senior Systems Manager.
As the Systems Manager you will also be well-versed in legal and clinical guidelines and corporate governance and industry best practice. You will be a professional of high ethical standards and work diligently to complete your duties keeping in mind the objectives of the business. You must be comfortable in presenting your position on your Statutory and Mandatory obligations and you must be results-oriented. Your package must be managed within the defined budget with costs tracked, reviewed and signed off on a monthly basis.

You’ll:
* Demonstrate you have effective control and governance systems in place to prevent or deal with violations of legal guidelines and internal policies.
* Coordinate and facilitate monthly compliance reviews with the Project Company for your package.
* On request review the business’s lifecycle and project plans relevant to your package to identify possible compliance risks.
* Review the work of colleagues when necessary to identify compliance issues and make recommendations to the Senior Systems Manager where the introduction of performance improvement measures may mitigate risk.
* Keep abreast of regulatory developments within or outside of the company as well as evolving best practices in compliance control.
* Prepare reports for the Senior Systems Manager and external regulatory bodies as appropriate.
* Liaise with the Senior Technical manager and co-sign the completion of compliance matters borne out of an Authorising Engineer review.
* Contribute to and maintain the Duty Holder Register relevant to your package and the overarching training and development plans for engineers and technicians.
* Monitor, manage and ensure the implementation and accuracy of the asset maintenance records and the associated documents, ensuring all are stored in accordance with the site document control process.
* Maintain close liaison with the AE for any operational concerns and ensure completion of the annual Authorised Engineer Report and closure of any actions from this and any other specialist reports.
* Participate in compliance discussions with our client(s) ensuring appropriate preparation has been made to present our compliance position.
* Be an Authorised or Responsible Person for your relevant package.
Minimum Requirements:
* ONC/HND in an Engineering Discipline (or Equivalent) or Recognised qualification or certification in a statutory discipline.
* 3 years Responsible or Approved persons experience.
* Good customer care and flexible approach to working practices.
* Proven experience in a compliance role.
* Knowledge of the industry’s standards and regulations pertinent to the package.
* Excellent knowledge of reporting procedures and record keeping.
* A business acumen partnered with a dedication to legality.
* Methodical and diligent with outstanding planning abilities.
* An analytical mind able to “see” the complexities of procedures and regulations.
