Social worker for First contact team completing assessments and carrying out S47 enquiries and taking to ICPC where required at which point children transferred to Long Term Team.
As a Social Worker within the Front Door Team, you will:
* You will have experience of working in a multi-disciplinary environment, ideally with direct experience of a front door/triage service.
* You will have experience of working in a statutory child protection team and be confident and competent in your ability to safeguard and protect children.
* You will always want to hear the child’s voice and ensure that this is taken into account.
* You will have excellent communication skills and be able to You will be able to make decisions and recommendations in a fast paced environment
* You will be able to contribute to the development of the service.
* You will have a sound knowledge base of the Knowledge and Skills Statement for Child
* Family Social Work and the application of Professional Capabilities Framework which will be embedded within all elements of your practice.
* You will be empathetic and sensitive to the needs of children and families
* You will understand the importance of performance information and your contribution to maintaining high standards.
* You will have excellent communication skills and be able to convey complex messages in a straightforward way, both verbally and in writing.
* You will not be afraid to think creatively to solve problems.
* You will be passionate about maximising a child’s life chances to improve their overall outcomes.
* You will care enough to want to make a difference – every day.
As a Social Worker within the Front Door Team, you are required to:
* Hold a Social Work England registration.
* Be eligible to work in the UK.
* Hold a full UK licence.
* Social Work Qualification, degree or equivalent.
* At least 2 years’ experience as a social worker within children’s services.
