An established manufacturing company is seeking a skilled Operations Manager to oversee and enhance its production operations. Reporting to the Managing Director, the role focuses on optimising workflows, driving efficiency, and ensuring high-quality production standards. Key Responsibilities: Oversee daily production operations to meet quality and efficiency targets. Assist in production scheduling, ensuring on-time delivery to customers. Lead and motivate a skilled production team to achieve performance goals. Monitor and implement KPIs to drive continuous improvements. Collaborate with Engineering, Procurement, and Quality teams to optimise operations. Ensure compliance with transport regulations and safety policies. Identify opportunities for cost reductions and process improvements. Manage production budgets, resources, and planning in alignment with business goals. Work with HR on performance management and employee relations. Essential Requirements: 5 years of experience in a production management role within manufacturing or engineering. Strong leadership, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. Knowledge of lean manufacturing and quality control systems. Familiarity with health and safety regulations. Proficiency in production planning software and ERP systems. Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities. Desirable Qualifications: Degree or relevant qualification in Engineering, Manufacturing, or a related field.
