Exciting opportunity for a Year 6 Teacher at a primary school on the Wirral. We are seeking a dedicated educator to join a fantastic team on a full-time maternity cover basis, starting in September 2024 and potentially extending until Easter 2025 or even into the summer term. If you are passionate about guiding and supporting students through their final year of primary school, this role is for you.
The school are looking for someone with the following qualities:

2. You will have fun and engaging teaching methods that enable students to achieve to their fullest potential and enjoy learning
3. You can work with other members of staff and communicate feedback to the relevant people
Duties of the role include:
4. Ensuring all marking is kept up to date
5. Planning and delivering lessons
6. Maintaining strong communication links between yourself and parents
7. Ensuring the safety and well-being of all students
8. Other ad hoc duties where required

Your role as a Key Stage 2 (KS2) primary teacher in the age group of your speciality will be varied and at times challenging. But we doubt you’ll find a more satisfying career where your main objectives will be to develop the children and prepare them for the next stage.
As a primary school key stage 2 teacher you’ll be expected to:
9. Teach all areas of the school curriculum or your subject specialism
10. Organise the classroom and learning resources to create a positive teaching environment
11. Plan, prepare and teach lessons that cater for all student ability ranges
12. Motivate pupils with enthusiastic, imaginative presentation
13. Maintain discipline
14. Meet requirements for the assessment and recording of pupils’ development
15. Coordinate activities and resources within a specific area of the curriculum, supporting colleagues in the delivery of this specialist area
16. Stay up to date with changes and developments in the structure of the curriculum
17. Take part in school events and activities which may take place at weekends or in the evening
18. Liaise with colleagues and working flexibly, particularly within smaller schools
