Maintenance Surveyor job, up to £50,000 per annum, social housing, local authority, permanent
Your New Role:
An established housing association in West Yorkshire is looking for a maintenance or building surveyor to join their team. Working in a small team to provide a professional and reliable service by delivering a technical surveying service, whilst ensuring the organisation delivers high performance, value for money, compliance targets and provides decent and energy-efficient homes.
Responsibilities:
1. Conduct annual stock condition surveys to assess property conditions.
2. Provide clear instructions and supervision for in-house maintenance operatives.
3. Raise works orders for both in-house staff and external contractors
4. Produce accurate and concise reports using Office applications and bespoke software.
5. Manage contractors effectively.
6. Inspect properties, diagnose building defects, and create specifications.
7. Provide accurate estimates for building works.
8. Demonstrate a comprehensive understanding of Health and Safety regulations.
What You’ll Need to Succeed:
9. HNC qualification in building or construction or equivalent
10. Experience of property inspection, maintenance contracting, and front line working with contractors
