A thriving primary school in Abingdon is looking for a Graduate Teaching Assistant to join them ASAP or in January. The school is seeking someone who is eager and passionate about the education of young people. The successful candidate will be employed for the rest of the academic year as a Graduate Teaching Assistant. If you are a graduate, then this is the perfect role for you!
1. Location: Abingdon
2. Start Date: ASAP or January
3. Salary: £83.50 - £90 per day
4. Hours: Full time 8:30am - 3:30pm
In the position of a Teaching Assistant, you will support in Key Stage 1 or Key Stage 2. The focus will be on numeracy and literacy support. The graduate will take small groups to ensure the children are on task and meeting the learning objectives set by the teacher. SEN experience or understanding is a bonus, as this role involves supporting children with mild levels of autism and dyslexia within the school.
The ideal graduate will have achieved a 2:2 or above in their degree (preferably in psychology, criminology, or other academic subjects). Experience working with young people, whether it be in a similar environment, youth work, or sport, is desirable but not a necessity. They are looking for a pro-active, organised, and ambitious Primary Graduate Teaching Assistant.
The graduate must have recently graduated from University in the last 5 years.
