A successfully established agricultural seed company with a strong reputation in supporting farmers and amenity spaces, specialising in a wide range of essential products, including grass seed, grass and clover mixes, maize, cover crops, bio energy crops through to wildflower mixes. With strong R & D and an emphasis on breeding and innovating more sustainable products to reduce the impact on the environment.
The Job Role:
An enthusiastic Business Sales Account Manager to join a well-established seed company on the forage and seeds part of the business. This role will involve working directly with farming customers, building relationships, and promoting our comprehensive range of products. The successful candidate will have an agricultural background with forage and seed sales experience, enabling them to relate to customers and truly understand their needs.
Location:
Home based but must be happy to cover central England and Wales
Salary Package:
Competitive Salary, bonus, benefits package + company car
Responsibilities:
Strategic and day to day management of nominated agricultural customers within Central England & Wales. Shared responsibility for general support to the total sales ledger.
Brand management of key accounts and other brands as required.
Enhance existing customer relations and develop new business to achieve market share by volume and profit.
Direct responsibility for the achievement of sales volume and profit budgets against nominated customer lists.
To work closely with the wider agricultural sales team to ensure overall budget and strategic objectives are met in relation to agricultural accounts.
To develop new business through existing and new contacts.
Maintain effective team working and liaison with other staff and provide support and encouragement in the development of colleagues where appropriate.
To offer technical support and training to customer accounts in the field, at sales meetings, trade shows, and the company trial facility.
Be prepared to undertake international travel to support corporate activities.
To support the office-based function when necessary to ensure adequate customer sales support can be maintained in peak season.
Candidate Skills and Experience:
Self-motivated with ability to work on own initiative to enhance existing customer relations and develop new business.
High level of company product knowledge
Good practical understanding of UK agriculture
Solid track record in a sales environment
Drive and continue to hold a full UK driving licence
Good presentation skills, ambition, determination, and persistence
Highly developed written and verbal communication to ensure effective relationships are maintained
High levels of computer literacy in Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Navision, etc.
Strong communication and liaison skills to effectively work with internal teams and customers.

A strong ability to understand and anticipate the needs of farming customers, ensuring that solutions provided are tailored and effective for their business success.
A proactive individual with a strong desire to meet and exceed sales targets, lead a team, take ownership of their area, and continuously strive for improvement in all aspects of their work.

Hold a valid UK driving licence
Able to provide excellent references on request
