Purpose of the role:
The people we support are at the heart of everything we do. Your role will involve supporting individuals to live their lives to their maximum potential in a way that they want to. This will be a varied and diverse role that will involve leading the night shifts for the home, supporting and managing the staff team day to day, and ensuring the wellbeing and happiness of the people we support over 7 days, including weekends.
Key Responsibilities:
1. To complete the tasks given within your agreed job description.
2. To support everyone to keep safe.
3. To give emergency rescue medication.
4. To administer PRN medication.
5. To complete wake night safety checks.
6. To hold the keys for safes and medication cupboard.
7. Fire Marshall.
8. Supporting staff to take breaks.
9. To support staff and guide staff to complete their tasks and duties.
10. To ensure all PPE is being worn appropriate to the task or person they are supporting.
11. Report any incidents or accidents to the Management team and ensure they are recorded.
12. Support staff to remember to complete all the necessary paperwork and nourish during the night where needed.
13. Report any possible safeguarding immediately to the on-call manager and ensure the people we support are safe.
14. If unsure of the answer to any questions asked by staff, inform them you will get the answers ASAP and pass on to the next senior or manager you see.
15. Infection control and COSH rules must be followed as outlined in our safety management booklet available on QCS.
