Salary: £30,000 - £40,000 pro rata (actual £24,000 - £32,000 per annum)

We are looking for a Lecturer of English (English for Speakers of Other Languages) within the Adult Education team. Our ideal candidate will be an inspiring lecturer with a proven record of innovation and a pro-active approach to delivery.
Main Duties and Responsibilities:
1. To teach English to speakers of other languages on discrete adult courses, including qualification and non-qualification.
2. Play an active role in marketing and community awareness of ESOL.
3. Engage in core duties including preparation, marking, monitoring student progress, preparing reports, setting and marking of examination papers, developing and preparing flexible learning materials.
4. To be involved in marketing of the College, Faculty and Department.
Required Skills and Experience:
1. Has a degree (or equivalent) in a relevant discipline.
2. Teaching qualification (PGCE or DTTLS) or willingness to obtain.
3. Is ESOL trained and able to teach Academic English.
4. Is well organised and able to manage the peaks and troughs of a varied workload.
