Job Title: SEN Support Worker

Job Description:
SMART Education are looking for an experienced SEN Support worker with experience working with SEN children aged from birth to 5 years old. This is a full-time short-term role, starting ASAP.
Responsibilities:
1. Provide individualized support to your assigned pupil, ensuring their educational and developmental needs are met.
2. Modify and adapt learning materials and resources to suit the pupil's specific learning style and needs.
3. Implement and follow behaviour management strategies tailored to the pupil's needs, promoting a positive learning environment.
4. Utilize appropriate communication methods, including non-verbal communication tools, to interact effectively with your assigned pupil.
5. Monitor and record the pupil's progress, providing regular feedback to teachers, parents, SENCO, and outside agencies who support the pupil and family.
6. Support the implementation of the pupil's individualized education plan or any other personalized learning plans.
7. Aid with personal care tasks to ensure the pupil's comfort and well-being.
8. Ensure the pupil's safety, supervising them during classroom activities, breaks, and other school events.
Requirements:
1. Level 2 or 3 teaching assistant/childcare learning and development; applicants lacking the relevant qualification will not be considered.
2. At least 6+ months experience within a primary school setting; applicants lacking the required experience will not be considered.
3. Experience supporting pupils with additional needs.
4. DBS on the update service (we can process one for you).
5. Classroom TA / LSA / 1:1 experience.
6. SEN experience/knowledge/additional CPD.
